Andrea Frank's dynamic systems concern works based on a state of crisis: the industrial and environmental transformation of vast areas of the planet have induced devastating and irremediable linked causes. These concern the collapse of the ecosystem, the extinction of some species of animals including bird families or plant species, and the induction of CO2 which has dramatically increased the earth's temperature. Frank explores this complex issue through the lens of System Dynamics (SD, a method developed at MIT, Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1960) in an attempt to understand how this scientific system of random cycle diagrams can be applied as a solid foundation for research. art and its production. The photographs are images on Plexiglas created through a laser cut and assembled on the wall with a collage technique together with other objects. Another series of works consist of photographs of empty MIT classrooms and commercial ships. The places of education according to Frank are as representative as they are symbolic of the social bewilderment in which we find ourselves, and the commercial giants of the seas, of all the seas of the world, are the representation of an incessant and unstoppable globalization process.
The studies conducted by Andrea Frank go in a direction of "eco-sustainability of art" as a method for conceptually massaging the atrophied muscle of the collective consciousness.
