He moved toVienna after entering the Academy of Fine Arts, where he graduatedin the class of Daniel Richter, whose assistant he became.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">His research straddles consciousness and unconsciousness, spontaneity and consideration, relationship and emotion, public and private space. Gender issues, personal freedom and queer themes arecalculated in dreamlike atmospheres, in which there is a strong presence ofdisturbing and sometimes disturbing elements. Yilmaz invites the viewer to participate actively in the experience of the painting, freeing them from the usual role of passive recipient and stimulating them to decode the composition.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">His solo exhibitions include:\u00a0<i>Theological Time, MeanLandscape<\/i>, Gallery Exile, Vienna (2020);\u00a0<i>Fieberblasenmond<\/i>, GalleriaPSM, Berlin (2018);\u00a0<i>Sibel Beauty Parlor,\u00a0<\/i>Sanatorium, Istanbul (2017);<i>Hotel Principles<\/i>, Funktion Room, London (2015).
