Federico De Leonardis (La Spezia, 1938). His works are spatial constructions that involve different materials: a living memory of the places where he found them and their past.
\nIn his installations on the remains of a still living memory, using them as casts of an indelible past. His works features emptiness an absence, they exist by subtraction. Destruction instead of building, emptiness instead of filling, simply leaving nothing but some traces, which connects to our distant memories. Among his main exhibitions: Kunsthistorische (1979, Stuttgart); Arte e Architettura, Spazio Ansaldo (MI); Oggetti d\u2019uso e d\u2019incanto, Centro Domus (1991, MI); Libro d\u2019Artista, Biblioteca Braidense (MI); La Casa di Alice (1993, PR); Allerart Bludenz (1998, Austria); Cantieri dell\u2019Arte, ex Cantiere Binda (2004, MI); Polemos, Castello di Gavi (2006, AL); Fondazione Cini (2008, VE); Il Tempo e le opere, Museo della Grafica (2017, PI); Futuruins, Palazzo Fortuny (2018, VE); Biennale Le latitudini dell\u2019Arte (2019, GE).
